Hi!
I%26#39;m taking my Jazz Band and Youth Choir to Salzburg in a couple of weeks time and, despite having been to Salzburg before, can%26#39;t remember whether you can just walk around at the top of the funicular railway to admire the view and take photos(taking about 20mins or so). I have a group of 54 students with me and as, later on in the morning, we will be visiting Mozart%26#39;s birthplace then going on to do a concert in the Mirabel Gardens, I didn%26#39;t want to drag them around a fortress. Any thoughts gratefully received!

You can definitely go up by yourselves, but I cannot remember how flexible you are at the peak to enjoy the view. But there are also other elevation that can be used to outlook.

Hi Ploughboy!
Well, what a coincidence!
Was just trying to think of a way to advertise our concerts on TA without getting in trouble for %26#39;inappropriate posts%26#39; when along came your message!
We are in the Mirabel Gardens at 16.00 on Monday 14th July, the Music Pavilion in St Gilgen at 17.00 on Tuesday 15th and the Basilica in Mondsee (just Chamber Choir this time) at 19.00 on the 16th.
This is my fourth Concert Tour to this region of Austria and have visited many times privately - it%26#39;s wonderful!! We are an 11-16 school but sound OK I think!
Hope that you have a great tour.
If you want to get in touch, do feel free to use the messaging service. I now have friends all over the world, thanks to TA!
PS My parents live in H/gate!!!

looks like we won%26#39;t bump into you out and about!
Our guys are 11-18, and have an excellent reputation although holiday fever has set in and this weeks rehearsal was nuts!
Enjoy your tour, i%26#39;ve replied to your mail,
