Vienna accomodation

Hi,

We are a group of 4 persons. We will be in Vienna on the 26th and would want to find accommodation for 1 night. The problem is that we want to find a place which is close to A21 or A1 autobahns (as we will be heading to Salzburg the next day) and from where we would also have access to public transportation (in order to visit Vienna).

Could you please make a recommendation where to search for hotel by district (from what I saw we should search something in the 13th or the 23rd district), or if you know a place we would be very happy.

Thank you very much.

Try to find one with the post codes 1130, 1140, 1230 or use the city map!

Hi

I recently returned from Vienna. I stayed in Hotel Am Openring. It was nice %26amp; very central in location. It has a underground staion very close-by %26amp; is a few minutes from the pedestrian zones. I think it was a great choice for our stay.

The main train station Westbahnof is 2 stations away (or it was just 1, cant recollect now). The Westbahnof area has a lot of hostels as well if you wish to explore those. You may get a room with 2 or 4 beds there as well.

Pls do note that it is not a standard practice to have air conditioners in hotels there. This came as a surprise to me but the hotel gave us nice fans to keep us cool. They also had a nice breakfast menu. It was a 4-star category.

Last note of caution, the tourist information centre is not at the main train station. It is in city centre / pedestrian zone area. Also, they have no feedback on the hotel whatsoever but just a price input from them. And it was my experience that the walk-in price I got was significantly lower than the one they had advised.

I enjoyed salzburg more than Vienna. Don’t miss the ice caves at Werfen whiel at Salzburg. Its awesome!

Have a safe trip %26amp; enjoy!
