My husband and I are part of a 14 person group booked on the Amadeus Amacello boat from Budapest to Prague on Sept 3, 2008.
I know the Amacello is only in service a few weeks, but has anyone recently been on an Amadeus cruise and can give us some insight as to what to expect. We priced around and Amadeus was one of the more expensive cruises. Is it worth it?

i was also told that this was the best cruise and when you look at all the excursuibs that are included in the fare, it really is not that expensive after all. think about a hotel room, meals, rental car, gas, tolls etc to do this by yourself and it is a bargain. and it even includes wine i%26#39;m told. can%26#39;t wait to hear how your trip goes! thanks for sharing

i see you%26#39;re leaving the ship at Nuremberg. Are you then taking the train to Prague? You aren%26#39;t going to miss Prague are you? to me it%26#39;s the most exciting part of the trip I%26#39;m looking forward to.

We%26#39;re spending 2 couple nights in Budapest at 4 Seasons before boarding, then taking the train from Nuremberg to Prague for 3 nights at 4S there, then train to Belin for a couple of nights then home. I%26#39;m definitely looking forward to Prague- have you been there before?( We have not).

I have not been to Prague. I have been doing a lot of research re: the train and schedule and fares and came up with about $25 each I think. Schedule was confusing. Are you taking taxi from ship to train station? Let me know especially how this goes. It is my most anxious part of the trip. I have Honored Guest points with Marriott so I%26#39;m staying there for free. Are you taking any tours in Prague on your own? I found many of them on line and they are very reasonable.

Our agent set us up with Eurostar or Eurorail or whatever it%26#39;s called! I think the 1st class ride was only a bit more. We%26#39;re going to play it by ear in Prague and see what the hotel recommends as far as day trips, etc. I%26#39;ll let you know how it all turns out!
