London or Paris to Innsbruck - HELP!

Looking to go from London or Paris to Innsbruck (Austria) for the Spain vs Sweden Euro 2008 match on 14th June 2008

We would like to arrive there on 13th June and leave on 15th June

Looks like it%26#39;s a tough place to get cheap flights to. Also thought about maybe a train from Munich

Anyone have any ideas what%26#39;s the cheapest and quickest way to get there from Paris/London for June 13th to June 15th?

Thanks in advance

EasyJet flys to Innsbruck,

or you could fly from London with Ryanair to Salzburg, and then take the train from there to Innsbruck.

Obviously Innsbruck is nearest airport but I%26#39;ve used Munich from where it%26#39;s around 2-1/2hrs to Innsbruck by train (line S8 every 20 mins from airport, change at Munich East - expresses run every 2 hrs from ther to Innsbruck).

As well as Salzburg you might consider Friedrichshafen (which would mean using Ryan Air from Stansted); from this small airport it%26#39;s a 4km bus or local train ride to Friedrichshafen City then train to Bregenz where you change for Innsbruck. I recall the trip%26#39;s a bit under 3hrs which is similar to that from Munich airport but at Friedrichshafen it%26#39;s possible to be off the plane and at bus / train stop in 5 or 10 minutes!

Last time I made this trip (to a stop just short of Innsbruck) I went the whole way by train leaving London at 0832hrs changing at Paris and Zurich, arrive Innsbruck 2120hrs (11hrs 48min with time change). As per your post if you are travelling only from Paris then train is definitely an option, for example 0824hrs from Paris East, just 1 change (Zurich), arrive Innsbruck around 1720hrs. That might well be cheaper option if flights are heavily booked as %26#39;walk-up%26#39; rail fares on this route are not that expensive.

Many Thanks for your answers - looks like we%26#39;re gonna do Munich and have a night there as well
