Need a " Day room" in Vienna (long layover)

Hello,

I am traveling with my child and I will have a long layover between my flights. I will arrive to Vienna at 8:30 and my next departure at 23:00. So, I am looking for place to stay from 10:00 to 19:00.

Maybe someone could recommend me hotel or pension with 50-65 Euro price range in the city center. Vienna airport hotels charge 90 Euro for a day room. My kid is little, so, a jet lag and long layover are disadvantages in my case.

Maybe someone knows also how to book a transit hotel room that located in the transit aria of Vienna airport.

Thank you in advance.

Vienna Airport is not that big... so you won%26#39;t find transit rooms there.

Hotels usually don%26#39;t show rates for day rooms on their websites. Best is to send them an e-mail.

The only hotel at the airport is the NH just across the street from the main terminal. I assume that is the hotel you refer to as being too expensive.

No other accomodations at the airport.

Probably the best and least expensive is the ETAP Hotel - about 45 euro.

You can reach this hotel via public transport - SBahn train to Wien Mittee and then transfer to the UBahn ( subway ) line U-3 to Gasometer stop then a short walk - minus to this hotel is not in the city center but near to a shopping cente with stores , eating places etc.

about 35 minutes travel time from airport.

My suggestion isn%26#39;t probably helpful, but I would probably pay the 90€ and stay at the airport. The NH hotel (if it is the one you mean) is across the street at the arrival level. You would not need any transportation, you just walk over one hour before your connecting flight is due to leave. As you will already be in possession of your boarding pass no need to rush. No threat of traffic congestion or other problems. Maybe you can contact your airline (I suppose you travel Austrian Airlines on OS88 and then on to Eastern Europe...), which can probably get you a discount.

Thank you very much.

I sent plenty emails and got some offer that I will greatly accept. I am going to the city center anyway. I love Vienna city center as well as my child. So we will stay in pension and will enjoy city walking, too.

Thank you everybody again for advices.

@bikbua

I found the same website but not one available day room on various dates.

The website quoted above only lists the NH Hotel for Vienna- at 90 euro. the same hotel original poster already rejected.
