Globus has optional tour to the SchonBrunn Palace for 40 euro / $62.
I%26#39;m primarily interested in knowing how long the tour is (when leave / when return) and how long you stay and is the time sufficent to really see the palace and all it%26#39;s activities - zoo, etc.
I%26#39;m trying to determine if we should do the tour independently to have more time, and how easy it is to travel to the palace by train / bus.
I%26#39;ll be staying at the Hilton Vienna Danube.

The Hilton Vienna Danube is not the ideal hotel for getting around Vienna. It always had poor connections to the rapid transport system though this has improved somewhat with the opening of the extension to the U2 subway line. The nearest station to the hotel is Stadion which is a 10 minute walk. To get to Schönbrunn then involves at least one change of line and a further walk at the end making a total journey time of over 50 minutes.
I don%26#39;t know how long the Globus tour is or how extensive or when it leaves your hotel. You may chance on a visitor who has used it and replies here - I doubt if the regular posters would know or would have been on it. You could contact Globus to find out.
Some of this reply would apply to your other post too.

Maybe Globus has a travel forum? Trafalfar tours has and questions like this get asked all the time. If Globus doesn%26#39;t you could probably ask a similar question on the TT forum (or search it there). TT uses Vienna Danube as well so maybe search %26quot;transport to Hilton Vienna Danube%26quot; on The TT site.
