Return Train Tickets

Silly question I know but can someone please help me out.

Can you purchase return train tickets? It%26#39;s just when you are searching as I was for approximate prices there never seemed to be a return ticket option?

If so how much more expensive would the return be to the single?

Also from the web site for 2nd class travel round austria I have got the following prices for a single adult. Do these seem correct?

Munich Airport - Innsbruck 40 Euros

Innsbruck - Saltzburg 35 Euros (Single price... I want a return price)

Innsbruck - Vienna 53 Euros

Vienna - Munich 74 Euros

I thought these seemed a little expensive?

Thanks

Mark

Return price = Single price * 2

The prices stated for domestic trips are correct.

Train travel is expensive here as many other things too. By the way, if I go to the supermarket I rarely check out with receipts under 20€ and the goods only fill a small bag.

The distance between Innsbruck to Vienna is more than 570km, so you actually travel a longer distance. But I agree that these fares are expensive.

You can do the Salzburg %26gt; Innsbruck trip for 14€ too if you travel together with another person.

The solution is special pass of Austrian Railways that grants unlimited rides on all REGIONAL trains in AUSTRIA for up to 5 passengers for a flat rate of 28€. If five persons travel together you can figure out the price for one. This pass is not designed to bring you through the whole country, but you can do it by a few or many transfers between regional train lines. On weekends you can also travel between Vienna to Innsbruck for the mentioned 5.60€/person if you are willing to travel much longer.

But please do not forget, that train fares in Great Britain are about THE DOUBLE!!! (and the service half as good)

In Austria, you get a small discount from the 2nd passenger on (you will get this without asking). And tickets are fully flexible...

If you travel a little bit more you can buy a VorteilsCard which reduces your ticket price by 50%, without any restrictions. But it depends - I am not sure the cost of a VorteilsCard would be offset by the savings.

Regular Vorteilscard: 99€

The name of this pass is EINFACH-RAUS-TICKET
