Train fare based on 2 passengers:
Wien %26gt; Salzburg: 40€/person
Salzburg %26gt; Innsbruck: 32€/person
Between Salzburg and Innsbruck you can also have it for 14€/person, if you buy the EINFACH-RAUS-TICKET and take a REGIONAL train (and not faster EC, ICE!!) via Zell am See and Kitzbühel corridor. The faster EC and ICE-Trains take the shortes way via Germany!

In this itinerary you could only take the following train:
REX 1512
dep. 17:04 (Salzburg)
arr. 20:35 (Innsbruck)

Thanks. Some more questions.
1. The ticket I want is the one plus ticket? Is that fare good for 2 people? and is that fare available at the station?
2. Is it true I can just buy a Vienna to Innsbruck ticket. and stopover in salzburg for several days on the same ticket? (I read this somewhere but cant find info on that)
Thanks!

1-plus is just a name for a group ticket that also allows bicycle transportation for free. It is automatically applied when buying the ticket. The more people travel in a party the cheaper it becomes. If you travel alone, you can also book the 1-plus, but you have to pay slightly more than the regular fare.
Here in Austria, there is only one fare system for domestic travel depending on distance. So there is no price difference if a ticket is purchased four weeks in advance or on the day of departure. Because of that, we always here recommend to NOT buy the ticket online and/or in advance.
The interruption issue has been discussed several times, and nobody provided a useful answer yet. Some say yes, others say no, the rest thinks that it depends on...
I will call ÖBB tomorrow and ask this question as I am interested in it either.

No need to call the austrian railways, they have it all published on their website:
5.1 Allgemeines
Die Geltungsdauer beträgt, sofern nicht bei einzelnen Fahrpreisermäßigungen Ausnahmen festgesetzt sind,
bei Fahrausweisen für Entfernungen bis einschließlich 100 km für Hin- und Rückfahrt einen Tag;
bei Fahrausweisen für Entfernungen ab 101 km für die einfache Fahrt sechs Tage;
bei Fahrausweisen für Entfernungen ab 101 km für Hin- und Rückfahrt ein Monat, wobei die Hinfahrt innerhalb von sechs Tagen angetreten werden muß.
In English: national tickets:
tickets for distances less than 100 kilometres: one day
one way tickets for distances of more than 101 km: 6 days
return tickets for distances of more than 101 km: 1 month, the first journey has to be done within 6 days, the return journey within one month
International tickets are usually valid for 2 months.

Where is the information about interruptions? This is only about general validity of tickets not implying that you can do whatever you want....
|||
You might be correct but frankly you don%26#39;t know either. I force myself to call them in order hopefully confirm your assumption.

Interruptions (Fahrtunterbrechung in German) can also be found in the tariff regulations of ÖBB:
In English: 6.1.
Interruptions not allowed with tickets of less than 100 kilometres, and with tickets that are bound to a specific train (only some international offers).
6.2.
Interruption is allowed as often as you want with tickets for more than 101 kilometres. There is no need to inform the conductor/rail staff or so about it.

Great! I don%26#39;t need to call them anymore!
