Mid Week Group accomodation in St Johann - any ideas??

Hi There

We are a group of six looking for mid week accomodation - Tuesday to Tuesday in St Johann in Tirol from either the 20th or 27th of January.

Am I right in thinking most apartments/ chalets operate on the basis of Saturday to Saturday?

I have tried calling the tourist office but no-one is answering the phones..

Hi Brian,

you%26#39;re right that alot of places prefer Sat to Sat booking but you are just before the busiest period so I think alot of owners would take a mid week booking for a week. You may be able to book on-line at www.tiscover.at or the St Johann website of www.ferienregion.at (both available in english) or it may be worth looking to see if there are any other private owner rental sites with apartments in St Johann. Try holiday-rentals.co.uk or owners-direct.co.uk.

The majority of hotels and pensions operate on a weekly basis. There might be a few (more expensive hotels) that also offer single nights, but don%26#39;t expect a great selection!

Hi

We have just returned from the Hotel Goldener Lowe in St Johann and they had a few groups stopping for a couple of days or so. ot sure of prices or whether they do deals in winter but may be worth a try. Hotel is dated but food was ok and view from front balconies to Wilder Kaiser fantastic. Very central too
