My Fiance and I are thinking of traveling through Europe including Salzburg for our honeymoon in December. Is it worth going here in December? If so what should we see and do?
Thanks in Advance!!

If you don%26#39;t mind low temperatures, you will be fine! But as you are from Canada you know how to deal with such conditions!
Salzburg as well as Vienna are very nice in winter when the christmas markets serve hot beverages like mulled wine....

Salzburg in December is magical. If it is snowy it%26#39;s even more so. From the 20th November until Christmas the Christmas Markets dominate the city. The atmosphere is fabulous. The two largest markets are in front of the cathedral in Domplatz and in Residenzplatz. In Mozartplatz there will be an ice rink. The stalls sell all manner of things but they are tasteful and traditional - not cheap and garish. There are food stands with roasting chestnuts and many stands selling traditional Gluhwhein.
The Christmas lights in Salzburg are subtle and tasteful - unlike the hideous blow up Santa%26#39;s, etc, that we have in the UK (can%26#39;t speak for other countries) and for us it%26#39;s always a joy to escape to Salzburg in December to see how different the approach to Christmas can be.
At Schloss Hellbrunn, a short busride from the centre, is another, smaller market. It%26#39;s best to go there at dusk. The Italianate water garden is lit and was so spectacular in the snow last December it took my breath away.
Even if there is no snow down in the city the surrounding mountains will have their share. A cable car ride to the top of the Untersberg gives stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the city below. Another busride can take you into the Salzkammergut region which is very pretty.
If you%26#39;d like to see photos of Salzburg in December send me your email address in a private message and I%26#39;ll email you some.

Since we will be on our honeymoon is there any one hotel that you would recommend. We don%26#39;t mind spending $150 and $250 euro a night.

Assuming you want to be in the city I recommend you take a look at the reviews of the Hotel Sacher, here on this site. This hotel is beside the river with gorgeous views of the fortress, the mountains and the old town. A room on the river side is a must to get the views. That would be very romantic for your honeymoon :-)
Don%26#39;t choose a hotel near the train station! That would be the opposite of romantic :-0
