I%26#39;m going to spend 3 nights in Vienna in the coming Sept. Now looking for one of three Ibis below:
1. Schonbrunn: 2 km from the Old Town
2. Wien Mariahilf: 200 m from Westbahnhof railway station and Mariahilfer Strasse, the main shopping street in Vienna. 2 km or just 7 minutes on the underground from the city centre, Stephansdom and Schonbrunn Palace
3. Wein Messee: in the centre of Vienna, close to WIENER PRATER and WIENER MESSEGALANDE, and 2 km from the AUSTRIA CENTER VIENNA convention centre.
This is my first time in Vienna and like to visits all the famous places like Schwedenplatz, Stephandsom, Hero%26#39;s Square, State Opera, Shhonbrunn so and so. Please kindly suggest which of the above i should go to? I just want the convenient place, easy to access to any places. Or any other better selection under the price under or equal to Euro100 per night. Thank you.

All 3 hotels will offer similar rooms, facilities , air conditioning and services.
You probaby thus need to pick by location.
In my opinion the Ibis mariahilf is the best.
Arriving by train at the westbahnhof - just a 3 minute walk down the street . From Sudbahnhof easy connection by streetcar #18 to Westbahnhof.
From the airport - an airport transfer bus takes you to the Westbahnhof for 6 euro.
The U-3 subway from the lower level of the Westbahnhof takes you to the city center and major sightseeing in less than 10 minutes.
U-6 subway found there too.
Schönbrunn palace an easy connection with the # 58 streetcar.
Mariahilf is a major shopping street , numerous restaurants nearby. The Ibis Messe says it is in city center. It is not .
If you are attending a convention or trade fair at the Vienna Messe center - it is OK or if you plan to spend all of your time at the prater amusements - unlikely.
Otherwise you need to take the UBahn everywhere- no good resturant choices nearby.
Schönbrunn less convenient than the Mariahilf.

Thanks very much for the very helpful info. i will go from Budapest to Vienna by train. Is it still convenient to stay at the Wien Mariahilf? I really have no idea what train station i will get off when i arrive Vienna? I understand that after i get off from the (intercity) train from Budapest, i can access to metro or any public transportation in Vienna easily, right? Please correct if i%26#39;m wrong.

most trains from Budapest arrive at the Westbahnhof- a few with a change of train, arrive at the Sudbahnhof.
You will note above that the Ibis mariahilf is an easy 2-3 minute walk from the station. The hotel is tall impossible to miss. You just exit the train station and turn right.
Yes, Vienna has a good transport system- safe , clean and not expensive.
Easy access to most everything.

The IBIS Mariahilf is probably the best in terms of transportation-friendly location as you have two subway lines (U3 and U6) and a railway station with international and major domestic connections + airport connection by bus. Only downside could be the situation at a very busy street with multiple lanes in both directions. The %26quot;Gürtel%26quot; (name of this broad street) is an important corridor in Vienna. If you leave Vienna towards the West by train take this premises!Furthermore you would find more dining options there as by the other locations.
The IBIS Schönbrunn is in a quieter residential neighbourhood which is not the most exciting one depending on the street. It is not unsafe, but partly too dull.
The IBIS Messe is at Lassallestrasse in walkable distance to the regional train station %26quot;Wien-Nord/Praterstern%26quot;, where subway lines U1 and U2 as well as local and regional trains call. This station is even serviced by a regional train going to Vienna Airport in approx. 30 minutes with the regular fares applicable, while the airport bus solely costs 6€.
