am staying near the opera house, or oper house, and would like to take my wife and adult daughter to a last evening dinner to remember. yes, i expect to pay big bucks, or euros, but it will be my last time around and i want to make it special. we are staying near the sacher hotel and would like suggestions from the locals, and, or, former correspondents on this site to recommend. thx again for your suggestions, recommendations.

The replies will give you some ideas and if you%26#39;re not looking for Sunday then all will be open! The restaurant at the Palais Coburg is also well condidered:

The most highly rated luxury restaurants in Vienna are:
Steirereck im Stadtpark
Palais Coburg
Meinl am Graben
All are centrally located. Reserve as soon as possible and expect to pay at least 150,- Euros per person, including moderate wine. Men should wear jacket and tie.
At Meinl am Graben, some tables have a beautiful view over the Graben street, but they require reservation well ahead of time. Steirereck is nicely located in a park. All closed on Sunday. Steirereck also Saturday. Coburg also Monday.
