Hi, we are moving and travelling so have an extra (very heavy) bag that we want to leave in Vienna for three to four weeks while we travel. We then want to pick it up again on the way to Britain.
Does anyone know of any medium-term storage lockers/storage facilities that we could use in Vienna or alternatively any cheap way to ship a suitcase from Vienna to London?

You can store your luggage at Vienna Airport or at several train stations in Vienna. No idea about the charge for such a long time.

The airport left luggage depot charges about 3 euro per day or more.
It is found on the same level as the Arrival Hall and across from the Auto rental counters.
Rail stations have luggage lockers but they are only good for 24 hours.
No idea about longer luggage storage at the rail stations- never used any.
Various forwarding services such as Fedex , UPS and others have good services in Vienna.
You may find that this is a viable, cost effective and easy alternative - especially if you are flying due to bag weight and extra charges that may occur.
I would check the websites of Fedex etc. they have a non priority international package rate -

Will you be staying in Vienna at all? If yes, will it be at the cheaper end of the scale? If yes, most hostels (some of which have double rooms) expect to look after luggage as part of the service, and have special %26quot;luggage rooms%26quot;. Three-four weeks would be unusual but you could always negotiate a deal.
