Help with Itinerary

Hi, I need your input to determine our itinerary. My wife and I are going to Europe next October for 15 days and we haven%26#39;t decided yet which route to follow. We basically have two alternatives:

Prague 3 nights

Vienna 3 nights(by train)

Salzburg 2 nights(by train)

Munich 3 nights(by train)

Paris 2 nights(by plane)

Or

Prague 3 nights

Vienna 3 nights(by train)

Venice 3 nights(by plane)

Florence 2 nights(by train)

Paris 2 nights(by plane)

You may wonder why so little time in Paris, that is because we both know the city but our flight home departs from there, so we want a couple of days to relax and rest from our vacations.

As you may see, if we go to Salzburg we can%26#39;t see 2 beautiful cities such as Venice an Florence, but if we go there we can%26#39;t go to the Alps.

Thanks

We can%26#39;t make the decision for you. My two cents to this itinerary:

- I would not stay three nights in Munich if you don%26#39;t intend to make any sidetrips

- Too many (large) cities could be exhausting in my opinion

In the first itinerary I%26#39;m a little worried that the experience will be just Ok because is October and it won%26#39;t be snowing (I%26#39;m from a tropical country I want to live that experience). Also I don%26#39;t know if there are enough nice things to do in that region (Munich and Salzburg)

Regarding the second itinerary, I%26#39;m worried about flying with budget companies and the oil prices. Are they reliable?, is there a good chance that they can cancel the flights? I%26#39;ve visited London, Paris and Rome in the past, is there a chance of %26quot;been there, done that?%26quot;

TIA

The area of Salzburg is just beautiful - the Salzkammergut:

I personally would skip Munich and go to Italy instead. You could take the train from Salzburg to Venice - it would take you about hours and the ride is very scenic through mountainous areas.

There is f.e. a train that leaves Salzburg at 7:04 in the morning and arrives in Venice at 13:30 noon.

Maybe you could combine the two routes:

Prague 3 nights

Vienna 3 nights(by train)

Salzburg 2 nights(by train)

Venice 3 nights (by train)

Paris 2 nights(by plane)

or

Prague 2 nights

Vienna 3 nights(by train)

Salzburg 2 nights(by train)

Venice 2 nights (by train)

Florence 2 nights (by train)

Paris 2 nights(by plane)
