Hotel Alpenkroner Filzmoos

I%26#39;d be interested to hear from anyone whose stayed at the Alpenkrone in Filzmoos in the summer. My partner and I are thinking of staying there as part of an Austrian two centre break with Inghams this summer. The hotel looks good in the brochure and on the website but I can%26#39;t find a lot of independent reviews and nothing at all on this site.

My husband and I(62,%26amp;63 yrs old) have just returned from the Hotel Alpenkrone. Yes it is a steep walk from the village but it has wonderful views because of that.We went as part of an organised walking holiday organised by Accolade holidays. We were very impressed by the company and the hotel was superb in every way. Good food, indoor pool, comfortable rooms, spa, games rooms, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We used Taxi Jaeger minibuses for trips to places of interest and for transport to places which were too far to walk for some of the group(some over 70),so they could walk back. We had walks, 2 levels of difficulty, organised for us by Accolade in conjunction with Sport Stefan(www.sportstefan.at) in the village, stopping at mountain huts for lunch. Martin and Coen, our guides, were always there to support us especially as some of us found we were not as fit as we had hoped! We had a great time and would recommend the hotel and the area at this time of year when it is fairly quiet. Only one thing could have been better for us. The chair lift from the village doesn%26#39;t open until the 24th June from the village, but we were able to go to the cable car up to the Dachstein Glacier, and some of the group did organised walks on the glacier, quite an experience!
