accomandation for new year

hi!

maybe somebody can give us an advise?

we decided to go to ischgl for the new year from 30 december till 6 0r 7 january.

we were trying to book some apartments or rooms now. but 60% of apartments and hotels don`t answer the letters and 40% are fully booked on this period.

Is it too late now to find some accomandation for new year???

should we change our destionation to some other place?

we want to find a nice charming resort with a big chance of snow in near year and good apres ski.

maybe somebody can give an advise?

if the area of Ischgl is important to you-

several alternatives-

The village of Samnaun- just over the mountain top from Ischgl- they share ski lifts and pistes- some nice mountain huts on the swiss side - plus easy access to all things on Ischgl side- perhaps even a litle cheaper accomodation too.

a nice town - just 1 1/2 hours from innsbruck - much like Ischgl.

Great shopping - some duty free too.

also just outside of Ischgl ( before you reach Ischgl) is the village of Versahl- they have accomodations there . check with tourist office.

Also past Ischgl is the nice village of Galtür.

They have their own lift circus and easy access to Ischgl- probably cheaper too.
